My Royal Ranger career started in 1967 as the Sr. Commander of a small church in Colorado Springs, CO. while serving in the USAF. Being in the Air force I was relocated to South Texas, North Texas and other places where I served in various Royal Ranger positions. I was also privileged to start RR in Indonesia in 1976, teach LTC in Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines. In 2003 I took a team of 14 men to Russia and we conducted the first Advanced National Training Camp in Tyver Russia, halfway between Moscow and St. Petersburg.
I have served as the Regional Coordinator for the South Central region for 23 years and the national office for another 4 years. While at the national office I served as the national RRA president. I also served on the board of directors for Camp Eagle Rock for 6 years and was involved in the development of Camp Eagle Rock.
I resigned my position at the national office in 2006 to devote my time to being Oklahoma District Director. We have seen many changes at the Ranger camp and I praise God for all the men and churches that have supported this effort. My goal and vision is to make “Camp Adventure” (formerly known as Rangerland) available to all church ministries when not being use by the Royal Rangers. It’s not to late too become involved in “Stake-A Claim”. Contact me or one of the District staff on how you can partner with us.
I have been married to Carol for 41 years and she continues to help and support the Royal Ranger ministry. We have one son, Kevin and his wife Chelly who has helped work at the camp and we have four grandson’s. Please contact me at (405) 728-1453 or email : mlemke@royalrangers.net
