District Commander - Marvin Lemke
 

The district commander is the administrative officer for the district Royal Rangers ministries.  He overseas, directs, and coordinates all functions of the district Royal Rangers department.  He wears a silver eagle insignia.  His specific duties are:
1.       To assist as many local churches as possible in beginning their Royal Rangers program (or arrange for such assistance).

To arrange special presentations for the recognition of recipients of the various medals awarded in the Royal Rangers program.

To ensure there are adequate district Royal Rangers staff officers to meet the needs of the churches in the district.

To conduct an annual district-wide Pow Wow, Camporee, Campout.

To conduct a district-wide Commanders Conference for the leaders in the district.

To conduct an annual Sectional Commanders Conference.

To meet periodically with the District Royal Rangers Committee.

To keep in touch with local outposts with some form of newsletter or other publication.

To prepare and submit monthly articles on Royal Rangers activities to the district bulletin and to the national Royal Rangers Office.

To assume the position of district FCF chairman.

To attend and complete the Leadership Training Academy and National Training Camp.

To arrange for a District Instructor Certification Seminar to certify instructors for the Leadership Training Academy (LTA).

To wear a proper and neat uniform during all Royal Rangers events and activities and to endeavor through contact, appearance, and attitude to create the proper image of Royal Rangers leadership.

Deputy District Commander- Roger Freels, Sr.
 

The deputy district commander has the basic responsibility of assisting the district commander in carrying out the various activities of the Royal Rangers program in the district.  He may assume leadership at district functions in the absence of the district commander and may also be delegated to represent the district commander at national functions, such as National Royal Rangers Council meetings, in the absence of the district commander.  He may assume other portfolio duties as assigned to him by the district commander.

District Training Coordinator- Rev. Stanley Botts, Sr.
 

The district training coordinator is responsible for the planning and developing of all district Royal Rangers training programs.  His duties are:

1.       To develop a District Leadership Training Academy (LTA) program, in coordination with the assistant district training coordinator eastern zone and assistant training coordinator western zone.

2.       To serve on the district Leadership Training Academy certification committee.  Other members:  district commander, assistant training coordinator eastern zone, assistant training coordinator western zone, and the district ranger kids coordinator.

3.       To ensure that LTA instructors are following national standards in their teaching of the LTA.

4.       To periodically report to the regional training coordinator or the national training coordinator on the status of the training program in his district.  Assistant training coordinator eastern zone and assistant training coordinator western zone assist with reports.

5.       To serve as a resource to those leaders who are conducting LTA modules.

6.       To attend and complete the Leadership Training Academy, National Training Camp, and the Instructor Trainer Seminar (ITS).

7.       Oversee and coordinate the Oklahoma Junior Leadership Training Academy (JLTA), with the assistance of the assistant training coordinator eastern zone and assistant training coordinator western zone.  (JLTA Coordinator)

8.       To assist the district ranger kids coordinator in camps and activities.  The ranger kids coordinator conducts an annual district camp for ranger kids, instructs ranger kids training at the District Commanders Conference, and promotes ranger kids training in the local outposts of the district.

9.       Oversees the district JLTA honor guard/color guard coordinator.  The JLTA honor guard/color guard coordinator is responsible for all flag ceremonies at the Oklahoma District Camp Meeting Missions Service, Pow Wow, and the Oklahoma District Commanders Conference.  Additionally, all requests for color guards at Gold Medal of Achievement (GMA) ceremonies.  Those who serve in the honor guard/color guard will have participated in an Oklahoma JLTA camp.  The JLTA honor guard/color guard coordinator wears the gold oak insignia.

10.   Supports the district camps and productions coordinator by being responsible for security at the Oklahoma District Pow Wow.  Those assisting with security are the assistant training coordinator eastern zone, assistant training coordinator western zone, district ranger kids coordinator, and the JLTA honor guard/color guard coordinator.

District Public Relations Coordinator- Craig Collins
 

The district public relations coordinator is responsible for the development of methods for better publicizing the overall Royal Rangers ministries in his district.  His specific duties are:

1.       To publicize the Royal Rangers ministries in his district, including all special events, unusual happenings, special medals, Pow Wows, Junior Leadership Training Academy (JLTA), participation in regional and national events, etc.

2.       To submit regular articles to the district bulletin and other district Royal Rangers newsletters, as well as to the national Royal Rangers Office.

3.       To utilize the news media and other sources such as Christian radio stations to spread the good news about Royal Rangers.

4.       To become completely familiar with every phase of the Royal Rangers program and to keep informed as to the latest developments in Royal Rangers, both nationally and in his district.

5.       To keep the regional public relations coordinator informed regarding Royal Rangers activities in his district.

6.       To develop fund-raising ideas and materials for the local, sectional, and district levels.

7.       To attend and complete the Leadership Training Academy and National Training Camp.

8.       To carry out other duties as assigned to him by the district commander.

The district camps and productions coordinator is responsible for productions at specialized district Royal Rangers events, such as the district pow wow.  His specific duties are:

1.        To develop the annual Pow Wow pageantry scripts and theme in conjunction with the theme of that year.

2.       To serve as a staff member on a program/pageantry committee to help carry out the necessary duties related to pageantry, such as, lighting, sound, costume, backdrops, etc.

3.       To periodically report to the regional or national productions coordinator on the status of the program or pageantry projects in his district.

4.       To attend and complete the Leadership Training Academy and National Training Camp.

5.       To carry out other duties as assigned to him by the district commander.

District Frontiersman Camping Fellowship(FCF) President- Cletis "No Powder" Coe
 

The district FCF president is responsible for the development of the Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship ministry of Royal Rangers in his district.  His specific duties are:

1.       To arrange for the selection of candidates.

2.       To arrange for FCF public selection ceremonies within his chapter.

3.       To keep local outposts informed of procedures for selecting candidates for FCF.

4.       To arrange adequate records of chapter membership and forward this information periodically to the territorial representative and the national scribe.

5.       To keep records of the status of each member and to inform the territorial representative whenever a chapter member is eligible for the Wilderness Vigil.

6.       To assist the territorial representative and the national president in promoting territorial and national FCF events.

7.       To secure and wear an authentic FCF outfit at all FCF activities.

8.       To maintain high standards for FCF areas, such as, membership, ceremonies, events, and activities within his chapter (particularly in the area of safety).

9.       To arrange for a special annual FCF outing (called a “trace”) for his chapter.

10.   To complete the requirements for the Leaders Medal of Achievement and to attend and complete the National Training Camp.

11.   To carry out other duties as assigned to him by the district commander.

The district FCF president is responsible for the development of the Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship ministry of Royal Rangers in his district.  His specific duties are:

He will assist the regional programs coordinator as needed with curriculum development.  He serves as a resource to assist the local outpost with the use of curriculum.  Specific duties assigned:

1.       Gold Medal of Achievement (GMA) awards.

2.       GMA association.

3.       Sports camps and special events.

4.       Special projects.

5.       Oversight and assistance of the pinewood derby coordinator.  The responsibility of the district Pinewood Derby coordinator is to prepare for the district Pinewood Derby using adequate staff for registration, workmanship judging, line judging, track starters, setup prior to registration, and disassembly.  He will have the final judgment call on all activities of the Pinewood Derby, including interpretation of rules and cars being entered in the day’s activities.  District pinewood derby coordinator wears the gold oak leaf insignia.

He helps promote and coordinate missions efforts for the district. 

1.        These efforts would include Pathfinder trips (Gold, Silver, and Bronze) and MAPS trips. 

2.       He also serves as a resource to the Regional missions coordinator. 

3.       He is to carry out other duties as assigned to him by the district commander.

4.        The missions coordinator wears a silver oak leaf insignia.

He coordinates efforts of the RRA at the district level.  He also assists the regional RRA coordinator in fulfilling RRA commitments.  He is to carry out other duties as assigned to him by the district commander.  He wears a silver oak leaf insignia.

District Health and Safety Officer- Daniel Clark, RN
 

The responsibility of the district health and safety officer is to oversee health and safety in district sponsored activities; to coordinate the necessary first aid station and emergency transportation for all district events; to keep complete and thorough records of all visits to the first aid station stating clearly the chief complaint, action taken, and the reason for such action.  He should make note if follow-up is necessary and the results of such follow-up if required by medical personnel.  He may also be responsible for checking into other areas that relate to the overall health and safety of the boys on a district event.  He is to carry out other duties as assigned to him by the district commander.  The district health and safety officer wears a silver oak leaf insignia.
